The mattress is not included. The required size for this bed is 90 x 200cm [EU Single]. Please note that the maximum mattress depth is 18cm; otherwise the bed won't fold back up. Our foam/bonnell sprung mattress can be purchased separately HERE.

SOLID DESIGN

Our murphy bed comes complete with all parts and hardware ready-to-assemble. The carcass is made from a solid 22mm high-quality laminated board, and the front panel is of a 16mm thickness. Wooden sprung slats are included. Finished with matt silver-coloured handle and cappuccino coloured leg for that modern look.

Please be aware that for safety reasons the bed needs to be mounted to a wall. Fixings for this will not be included as you need ones specific for your type of wall.

FUNCTIONALITY

This bed provides a sleeping area without taking up valuable living space. You can simply fold up the bed when not in use to reclaim the free space. Add some personal touch to and put some photos up on the backboard so that the bed can still look interesting even when folded down!

ASSEMBLY AND WALL MOUNTING

Wall beds must be fixed directly to a solid structure such as brick, concrete or a solid timber frame. Wall beds must not be fixed to a plasterboard or similar unless there is a solid structure underneath it. Wall fixings for your specific type of wall can be purchased at a local DIY store. We recommend this item to be assembled by a professional joiner or a competent person.

We love this bed. I turned a room into a studio for my daughter for art and computer animation, but we also wanted to have a single bed in the room if possible. Due to her workstation being so big, having a single bed out all the time just wasn't an option. I had been looking for a wall bed that pulled down sideways and found this site. From start to finished everything has been great. Delivered within a week, customer service were so helpful and the delivery guys were great as well. Building the bed was meant for 3 people to take about 3-4 hours. It was only me and my daughter and ended up taking 5 hours. But....its not because its difficult to build, there are SO many screws and dowls. I mean the unit is extremely sturdy, but when you are building it you find muscles you forgot you had!! I spent a lot of time choosing the best fixings to mount the bed to the wall, and trust me, it's going nowhere! One thing I loved was that the screws come in small separate bags. So if you are following steps 1 -6 there is a small bag that has everything for those steps. It's not just a bag with everything together. I've built many flat packed items, and this made my day. Lol. The bed is so comfortable. I was surprised, but the mattress is really nice. We have had 2 adult guests since it's been built and each of them had a great night's sleep. Thoroughly recommend this bed and this company.
